The Aftermath of Katrina

Hurricane Katrina devastated a good portion of New Orleans, along with the lives of most of it's residents. Although the death toll was staggering, most people made it through to see another day. However, the destruction that Katrina left in her path will take lots of time, effort, support and money to repair. Below are some photos from The 9th Ward area of ew Orleans.

Here are some photos of what New Orleans looks like a full 9 weeks AFTER the storm.

New Orleans holds a very special place in My heart. I spent seven years of My life there and have a lot of relatives living there. In September of 2005, I hosted a Benefit in association with Palatial Mansion in Orange County, California. We were able to donate more than $1700 in cash. There is much more needed even today for the victims of Katrina, and as we have all seen already, The Bush Administration and The Federal Government cannot be counted on in this time of need.
